Beth Matthew Concert

BETH MATTHEW -- In Concert

Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 3:00 PM

At Hunton Baptist Church

Imagine being a busy wife, mother to two teenage boys, a worship leader at church, and singing at the occasional wedding -- thinking your dream of a music career has long since passed you by.  Then you feel called to enter a national talent search audition, and five weeks later you're in Nashville recording your debut album!!  In 2014, this happened to Beth Matthew of Harrisonburg, VA.

The same day nationally-recognized talent recruiter Bernard Porter heard Beth sing at a “Nashville Road Show” talent search held in Waynesboro, VA, he invited Beth to Nashville to record. She realized it was the riskiest thing she'd ever done, but Beth knew it was providential, with God leading her to Bible verses confirming her decision -- "…for such a time as this" (Esther 4:14) and “For nothing will be impossible with God” (Luke 1:37).   Just five weeks later, Beth landed in Nashville working with Dove-  and Grammy-nominated producer Roger Ryan, laying down vocal tracks for her debut album.  On October 11, 2014, Beth released her debut album, Clear Vision.

Beth has been sharing her talent and original music since she was a teenager growing up in Martinsville, VA.  After graduating from James Madison University, she has spent time working in the insurance industry, in addition to serving as a worship leader in her church, and being a wife and mom.  She resides with her family in Harrisonburg, VA.  Beth has always been passionate about using her musical gifts and stories to point others to Jesus, to inspire others to become all they are created to be, and to encourage others in their struggles.

Since 2014, Beth’s songs have received radio airplay worldwide on stations in the Shenandoah Valley, Los Angeles, the Bahamas, and most recently in Africa, where her songs have been playing on Top Ten Gospel Charts.  On October 11, 2016, exactly two years after her debut album release, Beth performed at the 47th Annual Dove Awards in Nashville, singing “One True God” in a choir with Steven Curtis Chapman.  Beth continues to grow and develop as an artist, a performer, a musician, and as a daughter of the King, the One True God. You can follow Beth’s musical journey on her website, bethmatthew.com, and on Facebook at “Beth Matthew Music.”

She will be here at HBC on March 19th to perform a concert of original Christian music from her debut album, Clear Vision, and will share details of her musical journey.  Come and be inspired by her music and testimony.
