"An Out of the Box Christmas"
Sunday, December 6th at 5:30 PM
This musical takes place at the final dress rehearsal for the Christmas pageant. The costumes finally arrive and when they are pulled "out of the box," they are all wrong. Working together, the children come up with some unique, comical, and heartfelt ways to share the Christmas message with their friends and family.
For the second year, the Tree of Grace is located outside the Fellowship Hall. This is an opportunity for you to give back to your community by helping some families in need. This year the giving opportunities have been expanded to include several assisted-living residents. On each gift tag is a list of items from a “wish list” for a little girl or boy, a family member, or assisted-living resident in need this Christmas. You can help make their Christmas special by taking one or two of these lists, buying the gift indicated and returning the wrapped gift with the gift tag attached to the outside. The gifts should be placed under the tree where they will be grouped by family/resident and distributed in time for Christmas. Please have your gift ready by Sunday, December 13th. If you are not a “shopper” but would like to donate money, there are several who would love to do the shopping. Please give all monetary donations to Linda Orange (804)338-7915, Kathy Mowbray, (540) 414-2276, or Karen Maxwell (804) 370-3697.
If you are a youth or a parent of a youth at HBC, please print and fill out this form. Return it to Eric Fulcher as soon as you can.
The third Sunday of each month at the conclusion of the 11:00 worship service, the Pastor invites everyone interested in asking spiritual, biblical, and/or church-related questions to spend a few mintues with him in a casual, informal, non-threatening environment of fellowship.
